LONEWOLF DI

The A-VOID.AUDIO‍ ‍LoneWolf DI box is a passive DI box based on the legendary bass box originally used on Motown records and has had incredible staying power due to its distinctive sound.

This device utilizes the AMI UT10 transformer which is a brand new direct replacement for the UTC A10 transformer which was one of two transformers used in the original Motown DI boxes and the LA-2A compressor.

They are renowned for their “magic box” qualities on bass guitar specifically but with other instruments as well.

The result running an instrument through the LoneWolf DI adds some taming of the high end and slight levels of saturation and compression. Hit with a high signal levels, they saturate in a subtle and elegant way.

The finish is “double black grip tape”. The metal work is powder coated matte black then painted in matte black enamel. The black enamel will relic/vintagize over time and use.

  • 1/4” in and thru and XLR out.

  • Wired for 50k:333ohms.

  • Attenuation potentiometer activated via switch.

  • Output ground-lift switch.

*Any issues requiring repair are fully covered for 90 days from delivery date. Repairs on this unit are very simple and safe for anyone with a little soldering experience and the diagram included in the manual. If you don’t have a tech that you like to use, please contact us via the website contact form and we’ll put you in touch with a tech to have the repair, in or out of warranty.
